บทคัดย่อ
การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) พัฒนาโปรแกรมเสริมสร้างความสามารถในการใช้ภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสารและความเชื่อมั่นในตนเองสำหรับนักศึกษาหลักสูตรครุศาสตรบัณฑิต สาขาวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์ทั่วไป (หลักสูตรภาษาอังกฤษ) มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏวไลยอลงกรณ์ ในพระบรมราชูปถัมภ์ 2) เปรียบเทียบความสามารถในการใช้ภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสารของนักศึกษาก่อนและหลังการเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมตามโปรแกรม 3) เปรียบเทียบความเชื่อมั่นในตนเองในการใช้ภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสารของนักศึกษาก่อนและหลังการเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมตามโปรแกรม กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัยครั้งนี้เป็นนักศึกษาหลักสูตรครุศาสตรบัณฑิต สาขาวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์ทั่วไป (หลักสูตรภาษาอังกฤษ) ปีการศึกษา 2560 ชั้นปีที่ 1 จำนวน 20 คน ชั้นปีที่ 2 จำนวน 8 คน และชั้นปีที่ 3 จำนวน 10 คน รวมจำนวน 38 คน ใช้แบบแผนการทดลองแบบ One–group pretest–posttest design เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยครั้งนี้ ประกอบด้วย 1) คู่มือการจัดกิจกรรมตามโปรแกรมเสริมสร้างความสามารถในการใช้ภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสารและความเชื่อมั่นในตนเองสำหรับนักศึกษา 2) แบบทดสอบELLIS Placement Test 3) แบบประเมินความสามารถด้านการพูดภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสาร 4) แบบทดสอบวัดความสามารถในการอ่าน 5) แบบทดสอบวัดความสามารถในการเขียน และ 6) แบบวัดความเชื่อมั่นในตนเองในการใช้ภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสาร สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ได้แก่ ค่าเฉลี่ย ค่าเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และการทดสอบค่าที (t-test ชนิด Dependent Samples)
ผลการวิจัยพบว่า
1. โปรแกรมเสริมสร้างความสามารถในการใช้ภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสารและความเชื่อมั่นในตนเองสำหรับนักศึกษาหลักสูตรครุศาสตรบัณฑิต สาขาวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์ทั่วไป (หลักสูตรภาษาอังกฤษ) ประกอบด้วย หลักการ วัตถุประสงค์ เนื้อหา กิจกรรม และการวัดและประเมินผล ซึ่งพัฒนาขึ้นเพื่อเสริมสร้างความสามารถในการฟัง การพูด การอ่านและการเขียนในบริบทที่เกี่ยวข้องกับวิทยาศาสตร์ ตลอดจนความเชื่อมั่นในตนเองในการใช้ภาษาอังกฤษของนักศึกษา ซึ่งประกอบด้วยกิจกรรม จำนวน 7 กิจกรรม ได้แก่ 1) Conversation class 2) Presentations in English 3) Online chat 4) Learning English through digital media, e-book, learning.app. and website 5) Field trip 6) Reading Successfully in Science และ 7) Successful Scientific Writing กิจกรรมจัดขึ้นเป็นเวลา 15 วันๆ ละ 6 ชั่วโมง รวมระยะเวลาทั้งสิ้น 90 ชั่วโมง
2. นักศึกษาที่เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมตามโปรแกรมมีความสามารถทางภาษาอังกฤษด้านคำศัพท์ ไวยากรณ์ สูงกว่าก่อนการเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมตามโปรแกรมอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .01
3. นักศึกษาที่เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมตามโปรแกรมมีความสามารถทางการฟังสูงกว่าก่อนการเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมตามโปรแกรมอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .01
4. นักศึกษาที่เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมตามโปรแกรมมีความสามารถทางการพูดสูงกว่าก่อนการเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมตามโปรแกรมอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .01
5. นักศึกษาที่เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมตามโปรแกรมมีความสามารถทางการอ่านสูงกว่าก่อนการเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมตามโปรแกรมอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .01
6. นักศึกษาที่เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมตามโปรแกรมมีความสามารถทางการเขียนสูงกว่าก่อนการเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมตามโปรแกรมอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .01
7. นักศึกษาที่เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมตามโปรแกรมมีความเชื่อมั่นในตนเองในการใช้ภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสารสูงกว่าก่อนการเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมตามโปรแกรมอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .01
Abstract
The purposes of this research were 1) to develop a program for enhancing communicative English language abilities and self-confidence of undergraduate teacher students Program in General Science (English Program) 2) to compare the teacher students’ communicative English language abilities before and after participating in the developed program and 3) to compare self-confidence of the teacher students before and after participating in the developed program. The subjects of this research were 38 students for the 2560 academic year: 20 first year students; 8 second year students; and 10 third year students. One–group pretest–posttest design was used in the experiment.
The collecting data instruments were from six sources: 1) English Program Activity Manual; 2) ELLIS Placement Test 3) English Communication Test 4) Reading Test 5) Writing Test and 6) Self-confidence questionnaires. The data were statistically analyzed by using Mean, Standard Division and t-test (Dependent Samples).
The research results have been demonstrated as follows:
1. The developed program consisted of principles, objectives, contents, learning activities and evaluation. The program specifically focused on scientific context for enhancing communicative English language abilities and self-confidence of undergraduate teacher students. The 7 learning activities as the following 1) Conversation class 2) Presentations in English 3) Online chat 4) Learning English through digital media, e-book, learning.app. and website 5) Field trip 6) Reading Successfully in Science and 7) Successful Scientific Writing. The program was operated for 90 hours for 15 days for six hours per day.
2. The abilities in vocabulary and grammar of experimental group after the experiment showed significantly higher than the pre-experiment at the .01 level.
3. The listening ability of experimental group after the experiment showed significantly higher than the pre-experiment at the .01 level.
4. The speaking ability of experimental group after the experiment showed significantly higher than the pre-experiment at the .01 level.
5. The reading ability of experimental group after the experiment showed significantly higher than the pre-experiment at the .01 level.
6. The writing ability of experimental group after the experiment showed significantly higher than the pre-experiment at the .01 level.
7. The self-confidence of experimental group after the experiment showed significantly higher than the pre-experiment at the .01 level.
