บทคัดย่อ
การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) พัฒนาหลักสูตรเสริมสมรรถนะการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษโดยการจัดการเรียนการสอนฐานสมรรถนะ สำหรับนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 3 และ 2) ศึกษาผลการใช้หลักสูตรที่พัฒนาขึ้น เป็นการวิจัยแบบ 2 กลุ่ม ทดสอบก่อนและหลังเรียน กลุ่มตัวอย่างเป็นนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 3 ปีการศึกษา 2563 ภาคเรียนที่ 2 จำนวน 40 คน โรงเรียนบ้านบ่อสร้างนรากรประสาท สำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาประถมศึกษาเชียงใหม่ เขต 1 โดยมีกลุ่มทดลองและควบคุม จำนวน 2 ห้อง ห้องละ 20 คน ซึ่งได้จากวิธีการสุ่มแบบกลุ่ม (Cluster Random Samping) เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ประกอบด้วย 1) หลักสูตรเสริมสมรรถนะการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษ 2) แบบทดสอบวัดสมรรถนะการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และการทดสอบค่าที (T-test for Dependent Samples) ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1. หลักสูตรเสริมสมรรถนะการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษโดยการจัดการเรียนการสอนฐานสมรรถนะ สำหรับนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 3 มีองค์ประกอบของหลักสูตร ประกอบด้วย 1) ความนำ 2) หลักการ 3) จุดหมาย 4) สมรรถนะการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษ 5) คำอธิบายรายวิชา 6) โครงสร้างหลักสูตร มี 4 หน่วยการเรียนรู้ ได้แก่ หน่วยที่ 1 Our free time activities หน่วยที่ 2 Our foods and drinks หน่วยที่ 3 Around our school และหน่วยที่ 4 At home 7) แนวทางการจัดการเรียนรู้ 8) สื่อ/แหล่งเรียนรู้ และ 9) การวัดและประเมินผล ผลการประเมินหลักสูตรมีความเหมาะสมในระดับมากที่สุด ( = 4.56, S.D. = 0.61) 2. ผลการใช้หลักสูตรที่พัฒนาขึ้น 2.1 นักเรียนกลุ่มทดลองมีสมรรถนะการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษหลังเรียนสูงกว่ากลุ่มควบคุมอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 2.2 นักเรียนกลุ่มทดลองมีสมรรถนะการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษหลังเรียนสูงกว่าก่อนเรียนอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05
Abstract
The purposes of this research were: 1) to develop a curriculum to enhance English reading competency using competency-based instruction for Prathomsuksa 3 students and 2) to examine the effects of the developed curriculum implementation. The sample was selected through cluster random sampling, consisting of 40 students from Prathomsuksa 3 at Banbosangnarakornprasart school under Chieng Mai Primary Educational Service Area Office 1, in the 2020 academic year. The research employed the two-group pretest-posttest design. In this design, the participants were drawn from two classes and then divided into two groups of 20 students each in the experimental and control groups. The research instruments were: 1) a curriculum for enhancing English reading competency, and 2) an English reading competency test. Mean, standard deviation, and t-tests for Dependent Samples were used for data analysis. The results revealed that: 1. The developed curriculum to enhance English reading competency using competency-based instruction for Prathomsuksa 3 students consisted of 1) Introduction, 2) Principles, 3) Objectives, 4) English reading competency, 5) course description, 6) curriculum structure containing four learning units: Unit 1- Our free time activities, Unit 2-Our foods and drinks, Unit 3-Around our school, and Unit 4-At home, 7) instructional management guidelines, 8) media/learning resources, and 9) measurement and evaluation. The curriculum evaluation result showed that the constructed curriculum was appropriate at the highest level ( = 4.56, S.D. = 0.61). 2. The effects after the developed curriculum implementation found that: 2.1 The English reading competency of the experimental group students after the intervention was higher than that of the control group students at the .05 level of significance. 2.2 The English reading competency of the experimental group students after the intervention was higher than that of before the intervention at the .05 level of significance.
