บทคัดย่อ

การอ่านภาษาอังกฤษเป็นทักษะที่มีความสำคัญสำหรับผู้เรียนภาษาต่างประเทศ โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งในยุคของข้อมูลข่าวสารที่สื่อการอ่านต่าง ๆ ทั้งที่เป็นสื่อสิ่งพิมพ์และสื่ออิเล็กทรอนิกส์มีการจัดทำเป็นภาษาอังกฤษ ความสามารถในการใช้ทักษะการอ่านจะช่วยให้ผู้เรียนเกิดความเข้าใจสิ่งที่อ่าน บรรลุวัตถุประสงค์ของการอ่านที่ตั้งไว้ นอกจากความรู้ ความเพลิดเพลิน ที่ได้รับจากการอ่านแล้วยังได้เรียนรู้เกี่ยวกับภาษาที่ใช้ในการเขียน เห็นวิธีการที่ใช้ในการเชื่อมโยงความคิดภายในบทอ่าน และเนื่องจากความสามารถในการอ่านของผู้เรียนมีความสัมพันธ์กับการจัดการเรียนการสอนของครูผู้สอน การจะจัดการเรียนการสอนได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ ผู้สอนต้องมีความรู้ ความเข้าใจเกี่ยวกับหลักการสอนทักษะการอ่าน และเข้าใจบริบทของผู้เรียนจึงจะทำให้สามารถออกแบบการเรียนการสอนที่นำผู้เรียนไปสู่ความสำเร็จในการเรียน บทความนี้จึงมีวัตถุประสงค์ในการนำเสนอแนวคิดเกี่ยวกับหลักการสอนทักษะการอ่าน และแนวคิดเกี่ยวกับผู้เรียนในยุค Generation Z ซึ่งมีความโดดเด่นในด้านความรู้ และความสามารถในการใช้เทคโนโลยี การนำแนวคิดทั้งสองมาบูรณาการจะได้แนวทางในการจัดการเรียนการสอนทักษะการอ่านสำหรับผู้เรียน Generation Z ที่ช่วยพัฒนาความสามารถในการอ่าน สร้างแรงจูงใจและเจตคติที่ดีต่อการเรียน ซึ่งในบทความนี้ผู้เขียนได้นำเสนอแนวทางดังกล่าวอย่างละเอียด พร้อมยกตัวอย่างการนำไปประยุกต์ใช้ในชั้นเรียน

Abstract

Reading in English is an important skill for foreign language learners, particularly in the age of information where various reading materials, both in print and electronic formats, are produced in English. Learning how to employ reading skills enables students to comprehend what they read, achieve reading objectives, and thus gain knowledge and pleasure from reading. Besides, they learn about writing from the language presented in the reading text and see the techniques used in connecting the ideas. Learners' reading ability is related to teachers' instructional practice. To manage their instruction effectively, teachers must have knowledge and understanding of the principles of teaching reading skills, as well as the learners’ context to design instruction that promotes the learners’ success. As a result, the goal of this article is to introduce the concept of the principles of teaching reading skills and the concept of "Generation Z" learners, who are exceptional in their knowledge and use of technology. Combining these two concepts results in guidelines for teaching reading skills to Generation Z students, which not only enhances their reading ability but also builds their motivation and attitude toward learning. In this paper, the author gives a detailed explanation of such guidelines, together with examples to demonstrate how to apply them in a classroom context.
